We have 2 Beaver Colonies in the Tervuren/Vossem area, for boys and girls aged 6 to 8 years.
Beaver meetings take place on Wednesday and Friday afternoons/evenings. .
Beavers experience a range of fun and creative activities at their weekly meetings, which could include making things, outdoor activities, playing games, going on visits, investigating nature, listening to stories/visitors, learning how to be safe and most importantly, making new friends and learning to work as part of a team.
Badge-work is central to the Beavers balanced programme and there are plenty of opportunities to earn badges both during meetings/camps and individually at home. Here is a quick guide on where to sew them on, including those Belgian badges no one in the UK has. click to see it larger!
Beavers usually camp at least once a year, with their parents, where they take part in a full programme of varied activities and games, as well as experiencing the joys of camping out under the stars! Past camp themes have included Star Wars, The Wild West, Robin Hood, Pirates & Dr Who.
