Group Grand Prix 2016

Sat 20th February 2016

Your chance to race your Lego or cub car on our specially designed race track against other 1st and Central Brussels sections.  It’s a great chance to have fun with other members of the group, and also raise a little money for charity.

Maybe you’ll win a trophy; there are not just prizes for the 3 fastest in each age group but also for the best designs.

We’re also hoping to complete a couple of the FOSonfire challenges.

Beaver Lego cars 2015

Beaver Lego cars 2015

For one challenge we need 100 people at the same time(members, parents, leaders, or random passersby).  So if you can be at the event around 12.30 (even if you can only spare 15 minutes) we’d love to see you. Members who are on campus for other activities please drop in!

All Beavers are welcome to take part in the Lego races, you build your own car and we supply the special axles. Cubs and Scouts should have already bought their cub car kits and be making them. Please come in your uniform if possible.

How to enter:

Members over Beaver age who didn’t buy a car kit can bring a Lego car (ticket €3) and race at the same time slot as the Scouts. Lego and Wooden cars are different weights so don’t race together.

It’s important the cars fit on the track and are heavy enough to race well, so please follow these guidelines for Lego cars  These are the guidelines for cub cars

Beavers need to pay their section leader €3 for a ticket (One per member, accompanying adults and non-racing siblings are free) This covers costs for equipment, a free soft drink, trophies etc.

Please bring your ticket to show at the BSB security gate.

Cubs and Scouts  paid when they bought their kit. (Those who bought a kit will be issued with a ticket)

It is important that a parent stays to supervise and watch the fun, and buy some cookies, as leaders will be fully occupied with the races.
